Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor with 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience to support our multi-entity operations. This role will oversee key accounting functions including inventory accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations, and month-end close, while helping ensure accuracy across four related entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting activities across 4 entities (2 larger operating entities and 2 smaller transportation/rail subsidiaries).
- Manage liquid and bulk inventory accounting (not-easily-measured materials).
- Maintain and improve inventory management processes and work within inventory management software.
- Support cost accounting functions and provide insight into production-related costs.
- Track and maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with operations, transportation, and other business units on transaction flow and accounting accuracy.
- Utilize Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; supervisory experience a plus.
- Experience with liquid or bulk inventory accounting strongly preferred.
- Exposure to cost accounting required.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Industry experience in Agriculture, Feed Manufacturing, or Trucking preferred but not required.
- NetSuite experience is a significant plus.
